    These principles are very similar to those described in Daniel Pink’s book Drive, which I recently read. It is a bit more focused on business, but easily applicable to education. Anyone wanting to explore this more deeply might want to check it out.

    • The great principles to find joy in learning. However, the sequence need to be changed from success, purpose and supports to purpose, supports and success.

    I agree that I am most happy when I do have success and moral purpose to my work. I also am grateful for the support that I get from colleagues. The problem I struggle with is the other things that I have to deal with that take me away from the initiatives that really motivate me. In my job as a building principal, there are numerous things that derail you from being the instructional leader you want to be.
