Like the idea that we ‘manage things and lead people’. We all have our own ‘management tools and strategies’ – housekeeping stuff in our classrooms. But yes George this is so different to leadership in the classroom where we empower our students to own their learning and their growth. A parent recently queried that their child’s academic grades showed minimum growth. We encouraged the parents to observe their child’s personal growth in: confidence, independence, collaboration, enthusiasm to learn. Is this not growth? Are these not real life skills? How can we learn without these skills?
