  1. We are what our most cherished thoughts make us. Worrying and complaining lead to suffering: Hope and love lead to joy. I am going to liberally share your “3 Ideas for Staying Positive.” I’m truly glad to have heard you present in Pasadena last October!

    Mr. Couros,
I think you are spot on. I often find myself getting lost in the many tasks along the journey. Thank you for your transparency and for reminding me not to forget to nurture myself, as I continue to give of myself. Happy New Year!

  5. Thank you for your words of wisdom. I imagine your message is ringing true to so many of us. As educators, we spend so much time thinking about, planning for and creating optimal opportunities for learning in our classrooms, that we often forget about the needs of ourselves and our own families. “Balance is the key to everything. What we do, eat, say, eat, feel, they all require awareness and through this awareness, we grow.” Balance is not something we find. It’s something we create. Here’s to creating that balance in 2018. Cheers!

    Happy New Year!
I am new to reading your blogs and must say that you truly are an inspiration. I’m currently bringing a new initiative to my grade level and getting some resistance and push back. Your blogs, in addition to sound advice from my pastor and school administrators assists me greatly in digging in deep and pressing forward. Currently I share your posts on our district’s social media community. Keep doing what you do. You help in more ways than you may realize.
