  1. As a new teacher who is striving to become an effective leader in the public school setting, I completely agree with the concepts brought up in this blog. Leaders definitely need to be innovators, and the reason being is because many times, current practices in the leadership world aren’t quite enough to be as effective as leaders want them to be. Teacher leaders need to strive to be creative and to create and implement new activities, perspectives, practices, and ultimately just find new means to teach youth to become personally responsible individuals who act with integrity. This task is much easier said than done, as I am currently experiencing now. I bring a lot of positivity and energy to the school I currently teach at, and feel that I am making positive social change as a teacher and a leader. Does anybody have any specific practices, perspectives, or tips to help me continue becoming a more effective teacher and leader?
