    With regard to this post, how do you get a first grader to define a meaningful and appropriate level of success?

    As a secondary school teacher I see students making a direct correlation between the grades they receive and success. Often talents and dreams are pushed to the side to be “successful”. While the grades are important to get to the end result of graduation and college/university admission I struggle with how to make these students see that the grades are not all that defines success.
