1. There a few certainties that I believe must be honored: (1) perfection can be a goal but it will never be achieved; (2) the only failure that will occur is associated with quitting – as long as learning occurs after all missteps; (3) to be what any person determines to be successful, everyone must develop the habitual skills of Effective Learning, problem solving, communicating, and working in teams; (4) everything accomplished can always be improved; and (5) taking risks must always happen.

    I’m sure there are others that should be included but I’ll stop there. If I recall correctly, it was Asimov who is quoted: “There is no such thing as ‘Science Fiction’ any more.” What might be thought of as fiction today will likely come to be…

  2. Thank you for sharing the concept of Moonshot Thinking! It will become part of the MEd course that I’m teaching this spring on Education for Sustainability and Entrepreneurship. It fits well with Yong Zhao’s statement that “entrepreneurship is fundamentally about the desire to solve problems creatively” (Zhao, 2012, p. 9). I think this begins with the innovator’s mindset and we need that if we want to create a healthier, more sustainable world. Imagine the possibilities of applying this mindset to local and global challenges!
