Continuously I want to develop my leadership abilities as a principal. I have been trying to think of a very easy way to remember some key focuses that I need to always remember as an educational leader. Here is something that I wrote this morning:
LEAD
Listen
Exude positivity
Advocate for children
Demonstrate what you expect from others
What does your LEAD look like?
Hmmm… you've led the way; as a school board trustee this works for me too.
Like it. Here's mine:
Love unconditionally.
Expect everyone to give their best. (And do the same).
Actively listen.
Do what's best for kids.

Here is mine
Learn and help others Learn
Empathetic and caring
Apologetic ( Be willing to admit that I made a mistake)
Demonstrate (to be a Role Model)
I just love that acronym.
Learner
Expectations
Academics
Demonstrator
L – Look and Listen (pay attention)
E – elaborate (both people or group)
A- acknowledge
D – Do
If lead where spelled LAED the sequence would work better.
Great idea!
Love what you do
encourage everyone
always lend a helping hand
decide to put relationships first
Thanks for sharing this, George. Here's mine …
Love
Even when it's hard
All people
Deserve it
Here we go:
Live what you believe
Enrich and energize
Adapt for growth
Deny nothing because kids are miracles
Good idea George!
Love the gifts you have
Embrace the gifts that you do not
Advocate for those who least expect it and always, always
Defend those who are not able to defend themselves
